If it's health anxiety
If you're mid-spiral right now, try this before doing anything else:
- 1. Put your phone down. Close the tab you were Googling in.
- 2. Feet flat on the floor. Breathe in for 4, hold for 4, out for 6.
- 3. Name 5 things you can see around you.
- 4. Wait 20 minutes. The intensity will pass.
If you want to understand more about what's happening, read about what health anxiety is and what actually helps.
